We spoke about a news item before this of a set of racketeers who were involved in carrying out kidney
transplants, effortlessly. The news item which was published yesterday saying that in the case of the young girl Dinesha Fernando who passed away recently after listening to a song sung by Keerthi Pasqual because there was the necessity of a kidney transplant had no donor as such for her.

As a consequence of kidney infection, her health condition had turned into various afflictions and in the end she ended up with a deficiency in the body. She thus breathed her last on the 15th of this month. Her father Premakumara Fernando has this to say about Dinesha's sickness and the incident which promoted the deceased to listen to a song sung by Keerthi Pasqual:

"Dinesha is my youngest daughter. For 20 months her kidneys were malfunctioning. We had kept on treating her. But we were not successful in finding someone who would sacrifice a kidney. In the meantime, because of her weakness, her heart was infected. It was necessary for the replacement of a valve of her heart. Under such conditions she fell into a paralytic state. She was at Lanka Hospital for the past few months. For her treatment we incurred 81 lakhs. There were many who gave a helping hand and there were many who came forward to foot that expenditure across the Facebook as well. Those in her school, Ladies College organised a concert and collected donations. Then a bank too helped her. All of them used their effort to rescue her life.

 On her wedding day it was to give her a surprise that we brought down her most favourite singer Keerthi Pasqual without her knowledge and got him to sing. During her last moments when she was sick her most favourite singer Keerthi Pasqual came once more and sang on her behalf. That day too she became so happy. Finally we lost her. She was able to extend her life even a little bit longer because of the support given by the others. I thank everybody who gave of their support to save her".
