Mother who aided and abetted Dematagoda accident ....

asks bail to breast-feed 10 month old baby

The 15 year old minor who drove a vehicle running over a mother and daughter with his mother inside his vehicle, at a crossing some days ago in Dematagoda thereby creating a sensation in the area were produced

before courts yesterday and the attorney-at-law who appeared on behalf of them pleaded the judge asking for bail for this mother saying that she was having a baby aged 10 months.

Since this lady Shakila aged 34 years is expected to be produced next 28th at the identification parade, the judge instructed that no bail could be granted until that time and that breast-feeding the child could be solved by bringing the baby to jail and to claim the necessary facilities from the prison. As such, she has been confined to remand further. This mother apart from her 15 year old son, she also is the mother of a 20 year old daughter while the youngest child happens to be the infant of 10 months.

As the schoolboy who is responsible for this accident, Mohomed Fariz Farook is underaged, the judge ordered that he be detained at the Makola Detention House which is affiliated to the prisons and once again be produced at courts. Judicial activities in relation to the incident is to continue in future.
