Mahinda's new Freedom Front party is an exaggeration - Dilan




Minister Dilan Perera  the media spokesman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party had added that the news that is spread that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa with his loyalist leaders of the National Freedom Front,Nawa Samasamaja Party, Mahajana Eksath Peramuna and the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya is going to form a new party named "Ape Sri Lanka Freedom Front" to contest the forthcoming provincial council election  could be just an exaggeration by the Members of the United National party.


He had added that the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's intention is to defeat the United National Party  at the forthcoming local government elections and has no intentions of breaking the Sri Lanka Freedom Party into factions. But his issue is the work of the contractors that work for the UNP by spreading these hoax stories. He further added that:

Even during the past general election these types of stories were spread. Even during the budget voting the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had refrained from voting He had purposely avoided voting but had made a  speech with a useful  message  for making the amendments to some budget proposals and had gone out of the house when the voting took place thanking the Prime Minister.

Dilan Perera had also added that there had been a meeting of the executive committee of the  party where it had been discussed that there are a number of posts vacant that need to be filled both in the higher positions and  also in the media. In certain electorates he had pointed out that there no party organisers. Those areas need to be strengthened.

He also had added that there are hoax stories spread that all those who are in the joint opposition would be stripped off their positions as organisers of electorates. These he had said that spreading rumours to break up the Sri Lanka Freedom Party as they fear that the party would triumph in elections to come.
