Hirunika's security personnel to be arrested

The Police has reported that they have not taken any suspects into custody in the abduction that had taken place in Dematagoda. on the  21st instant.

The Member of parliament of the United National Party Hirunika Premachandra had admitted that the Defender vehicle that had abducted a 34 year old man who had been assaulted and left on the road

belongs to her. In this connection the media spokesman of the Police, Assistant Superintendent  of Police Ruwan Gunasekera had stated that 06 persons had been involved in this abduction as per information received.

The Police media spokesman had added that if these personnel with the Defender do not surrender to Police they would be arrested.

It is reported that despite this request for them to  surrender to Police they had not acceded th the request up to last night.

In this regard the Police is intending to take a statement from the Member of Parliament Hirunika Premachandra.
