Fire in a Saudi hospital kills 31 and injure hundreds

It is reported today the 24th instant that a hospital located in the North East region of Saudi Arabia in the state of Jesen had caught fire. By this fire

31 persons had died and several hundreds injured some critically.

The fire had broke out on the previous night had affected the maternity ward, intensive care unit and ward of still born babies. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

During this year a number of fatalities had been reported in Saudi Arabia.The worst was when a number of lives were lost when a crane had crashed accidently on to a mosque in Mecca.

The officials of the Sri lanka embassy in Saudi Arabia had confirmed that no Sri Lankan is reported to have been affected by this fire.
