A Inland wide water cut in the offing 

In regard to a number of demands that were placed before the management for the year 2015  all the affiliated unions of the National Water Supply & Drainage board had resorted to trade

union action from the 26th instant.

It is reported that at present some areas of the country the water supply has broken down and for which no repair work had been done.

As the related authorities of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board has failed to draw any attention to the demands that were brought forward the union representatives had issued a media notice on the 27th afternoon in this regard.

In order to explain more  on this  trade union stand clearly the action they intend to take the convenor of the union, Engineer Upali Ratnayake had called for a media conference this evening.
