Somawansha gives consent to Wimal's invitation ...
"Shall we get set?"
Participating in a media briefing held at the Battaramulla Jathika Nidahas Peramuna Party office yesterday (05), leader of the Jathika
Nidahas Peramuna, Mr. Wimal Weeravansha has stated that he hopes to join hands with former leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, Mr. Somawansha Amarasingha who has come forward to unite with the Ekabadda Peramuna at the forthcoming Local Government elections. Later as a response to it, Mr. Somawansha Amarasingha had issued a statement to the media last evening saying that he is prepared to join as an Ekabadda Peramuna on the invitation extended to him by Mr. Wimal Weeravansha, leader of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna.
Mr. Somawansha Amarasingha has mentioned, "We hope to contest the forthcoming Local Government election as a Ekabadda Peramuna based on an agenda. Nothing has been done to the country by the so called Yahapaalana Government of the United National Party and this decision of mine has been arrived at having thought of the country. The necessity of an anti-imperialistic alliance of a wide scale has been felt by the public and the country. I\ll be joining in to build a massive alliance in the future by uniting all Parties and groups entertaining those opinions".
