Dinesh to form a separate opposition sans Sambandan

It is reported  on Friday that arrangements have been made by parties within the United Peoples Freedom Alliance under the leadership of Dinesh

Gunawardena is to be formed in the Parliament. In this regard this party will have no connections with the leader of the opposition Sambandan

This party is to be named as "People's Party" and the leader of the party would be Dinesh Gunawardena.The chief organiser of this party would be Dullas Alahapperuma and the Treasurer would be Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

It is learnt that Prasanna Ranatunga has been named as the "Convener" of this party and soon they are to appoint a number of Members of Parliament of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance to speak on the budget debate on separate subjects. The "shadow" cabinet of this party is to be named next week it is learnt.

It is also reported that permission would be sought from the Speaker of the house the  adequate time to be allocated for this party during the budget debate.
