How SF Lokka was caught by getting information from younger brother ,,,,

using friend as a bait!

It is now revealed that the main suspect of the

murder of Wasantha Soyza (owner of a nightclub in Anuradhapura) Iron Ranasingha alias SF Lokka was taken into custody by Anuradhapura Police last night in Chilaw area according to a well laid out strategy.

He had been missing for a period of about a week and information was received that at one time he was stationed at a woman's house in Nochciyagama and at another time he was staying at his brother Asitha's house in Wattala, Mahabage. The police who were on his tracks according to this information received, had posted several police teams in those areas having sensed his movements and subsequently had received information that SF Lokka and his brother were making plans to flee from the country. It was only this brother that he had continuously maintained connections with after the the murder. They had once gone to an airline-ticketing outlet at a place in Wattala in order to reserve air tickets. It was because of this reason that he and his brother had planed to go overseas that the police took action through courts to secure an enjoining order against both of them.

A certain hotel businessman in New Town Anuradhapura had by providing support to Lokka's brother Asitha has made an effort to hide SF Lokka. This hotel businessman was the individual who even supplied the lorry to transport suspects thus extending his support for the murder incident. It was said that several legal cases are pending against this person named Chandana Hemakumara Amarasingha, at Anuradhapura Magistrate's Courts. After telephone calls given to those who maintain connections with Asitha and Chandana, the police managed to corner Chandana in Anuradhapura when it was possible to find out through him as to where SF Lokka's brother was. Later Asitha, SF Lokka's brother was cordoned in Tangalla area when he was staying at his (Asitha)'s wife's house.

SF Lokka's brother Asitha Ranasingha is known as Podi Malli. Podi Malli aged 25 years is someone who carries on a kiosk in Wattala, Mahabage. After he was arrested by the Tangalla Police day-before-yesterday (31) evening and was interrogated, information was exposed by him about his brother, the main suspect SF Lokka. On that occasion the police were able to find out that SF Lokka had been hiding at a house in Chilaw area. The police who extracted information about the best friends with whom Asitha's elder brother SF Lokka was maintaining connections with during the current period then used one such friend to give a call. At that point the main suspect had said that he is at Ja Ela area. Subsequently he had told that he would be coming over to Chilaw to meet him.

When SF Lokka arrived in Chilaw in a motor vehicle to meet the friend it was on that occasion that he got cornered to the police. SF Lokka who saw that his vehicle was surrounded by the police had absolutely no chance of making a getaway. The prime suspect who was taken into police custody was brought to Anuradhapura Police Station by last night (1) and is expected to be produced before Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court today (2).

A male aged 43 years old from Anuradhapura who is alleged to have provided safety to SF Lokka at places where he was hiding as well as a 54 year old woman from Seeduwa area charged under the same offence have been arrested by the police and they too are to be produced in courts today.
