A likelihood of the age limit to join government service to be increased  upto 45 years

The age limit for joining the government service at present is between 30 to 35 years.This limit is to be increased to the range between 40 to 45 years.In this

connection the cabinet spokesman Minister Rajitha Senaratna had said that a cabinet paper is to be submitted for approval. That means a 10 year period would be increase once the proposal is approved.

This proposal  has been brought as certain personnel have been at a disadvantage when the upper age limit was at 35 years particularly when absorbed into services units.This change is to be brought in for the advantage of those who are above 35 years when they opt to join the government ranks.
