The confession of Dunesh that he was assaulted is fake-Police media spokesman

The suspect Dunesh Priyashantha who was arrested in connection with the rape and murder of five year old Seya Sadewmi was released as he was nor guilty of any charges.Dunesh Priyashantha

had confessed to the media that he was assaulted by the officers of the criminal investigations unit while in custody. The Police media spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara had  totally denied these charges.

Dunesh Priyashantha alias Kondaya had been produced to the Magistrate he had not mentioned that he was assaulted the media spokesman ,Assistant Superintendent of Police had stated.

He had further added that in regard to assaulting the schoolboy suspect while in Police custody at the Kotadeniyawa police premises is being investigated and if proved the Police officers found guilty would be disciplinarily dealt with.
