Former Minister Mervin Silva who constantly made news during the last regime is silent these days because he was deprived of the nominations.

The Minister who petitioned against the Rajapaksas during the 100 Day programme referring to the white vans has received death threats during the past few days, it is reported. He informed the police that an anonymous caller had threatened him over the phone making a death threat saying that if he was to talk anymore about white vans he would end up in the cemetery.

After an inquiry was conducted across telephone networks, the police say that they were able to identify the culprit involved. The police also added that he was informed to report to Narahenpita Police today.
