Wimal and Udaya begs to speaker accept theirparties

Wimal and Udaya meets Speaker to make a plea to accept their parties.

The Mahajana Eksath Permuna, National Freedom Alliance, Democratic Samasamaja Party and Pivithuru Hela Urumaya party were

not recognised as main political parties by the national government.Hence the leaders of these parties were deprived of seats in the front row in the parliament. Hence as a result the four leaders were deprived making special staements at the inaugural session of the new national government.

The leaders of the four parties Dinesh Gunawardena,Wimal Weerawansa,Vasudeva Nanayakkara and Udaya Gammanpila had met the honourable speaker and had told that although they represent different parties all had contested under the United National Freedom Alliance. Hence their plea was to accept them as separate parties.

However Dinesh Gunawardena,Wimal Weerawansa and Vasudeva Nanaykkara had said that in the previous government they were recognised as separate parties.

The speaker had told them a decision in would be taken in due course
