Triple murder in the farm house ....

Gampaha Police were able to find a husband and wife couple who had been mysteriously murdered inside a house located in the middle of a land of 6 acres on Dewalapola Route along Naiwala Road in

Udugampola Area in Gampola and also the dead body of a 4 year old girl inside a well last evening.

The police assume that this murder has been carried out a few days before this. At the time the corpses were found the bodies were in a highly decomposed state. The bodies of the businessman and his wife were found within the said house itself while the 4 year old female child's body had been found being made to drown in the well situated at the back of this house. 

This businessman had been maintaining a poultry farm and a pineapple plantation and he had been residing in an old house in a massive land of 6 acres with his wife and child. A person who had left the army had been working in this farm for a period of time and he had disappeared by this time and the police suspect that he is responsible for these murders. Even the batta type lorry belonging to the businessman too has disappeared. The police suspect that the suspect had taken the vehicle away with him. 

It has been revealed at police investigations that the suspect had dumped the two dead bodies into the room and had covered them up with a large piece of cloth and had even with a black wax cloth placed on top, it has been revealed at police investigations. It was reported that a Rottweiler type of dog was being reared as a pet in this house and the dog had even jumped at the police preventing the police personnel entering to conduct investigations. 

A person had come to this farm last morning (10) for the purpose of buying chicken. Having noticed a foul smell emanating from the house he had called the Police Emergency Unit. As such the Gampaha Police Officers who arrived there found the dead bodies inside the house. It had been possible to identify the murdered as 52 year old Samantha, 47 year old Chandralatha, his wife and the 4 year old daughter of theirs.

The police had come across a part of a gold necklace and the pendant which the dead girl had been wearing, fallen near the garage. It was understood that the person missing from the house had been very affectionate towards the girl. His identity card and his telephone number have been acquired by the police and further police investigations are underway. The dead bodies have been directed for a postmortem.
