Rosy would next contest for the Mayor Post

Rosy Senanayake to eye the Mayor of Colombo position

The next provincial and local government elections are to be held in next March.The political sources

have revealed that former State Minister Rosy Senanayake who just failed to secure a seat in the new national government would vie for the Mayor's position in the Colombo Municipal Council.In the loser's list of Colombo district she was on top.

It is reported that Rosy Senanayake has already commenced her campaign to contest in the Municipal council elections.However ot is learnt that the current Mayor of Colombo Municipality MJM Muzzamil is also due to contest and hope to offer her a stiff opposition.
