Wimal's NFF party lodges complaint at the Bribery & Corruption investigation unit about Ravi

The other day when a group of supporters of the UNP Colombo district candidate were going

from house to house campaign along Bloemendhal street a group had come in a car and had fired shots at those supporters.One woman, a mother of three succumbed to death at the spot while several others were injured.

As it was said after her death by her kith and kin that she was canvassing with the sole intention of requesting for a dwelling house for her family to live  in.The Minister Ravi Karunanayake immediately after the funeral was over had gifted a house worth Rs 75 lakhs for the family of the deceased.

In this regard the Wimal Weerawansa's National Freedom Alliance party had lodged a complaint at the office of the Bribery and Corruption investigations unit against Ravi Karunanayake that thus this had been done to get political advantage as a bribe.This was revealed by Minister Ravi Karunanayake himself calling a press briefing.

The Minister Ravi Karunanayake had explained that this death had occurred because they had made this sacrifice for him and on sympathetic grounds he had made this donation and not to gain any political advantage.He had also had said this matter has become a question to him that even he himself cannot think of.
