The wings of Kumara Welgama who opposed to national government concept chopped
The Kalurara district former Parliamentarian Kumara Welgama has stated that he has been
chopped off from the executive council member position of the UPFA and from the membership of the SLFP.
The related letters have been sent to him by the general secretary of the SLFP Duminda Dssanayake and the general secretary of the UPFA Vishwa Warnapala.
Kumara Welgama had stated that although he has been chopped off, the reasons have not been said in the related letters.
In the central committee meeting of the SLFP former Member of Parliament Pavithra Vanniarachchi too had been present.The advisor of the SLFP Chandrika Kumaratunga had said during the meeting that those who are against the national government concept would be dispelled from the party.
There are 11 members who are against the concept of national government includes former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.
