Elections Commissioner has requested the FCID to postpone questioning of Wimal and Namal at FCID until elections are over

The former Minister and leader of the National Freedom Front  Colombo district candidate Wimal Weerawansa and the former

Member of Parliament and the candidate of the  Hambantota district Namal Rajapaksa were summoned to the Financial crimes Investigation unit this week for questioning.

As it is now the peak time for canvassing for the general election the plans of these two candidates would be hampered ,the Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya had intervened with the FCID and requested them to postpone the questioning until the general elections are over.
