THERE WILL BE HEAVY TRAFFIC IN NARAHENPITA DUE TO THE LAST DAY OF NOMINATIONS 

The police  have informed that due to the last day of  submission nomination papers for the forthcoming parliamentary general elections today Monday the 13th

Narahenpita Elvitigala Mawatha area where the Colombo district secretariat is located might be closed time to time from 7.00 a.m.  to 3.00 p.m.

Below are the roads in the map.
1) Base Line road, Havelock road upto Narahenpita

2) Park road to Elvitigala Mawathe traffic lights

3) From Nawala junction to Narahenpita junction at Base Line road

The residents of these roads, patients taken to hospitals, school children and those who go for work will be allowed to use the roads.

Alternative roads are as below.

The vehicles from Poorwarama road towards Polhengoda from High Level road are allowed to use High Level road.  Vehicles from Park Road can also use the High Level road.
