Ranil Wickremasinghe had said that the other day former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who had addressed a similar election propaganda meeting had said that he will increase the wages of public servants to a minimum of Rs 25000/-In his speech Ranil Wickremasinghe had rectified a huge mistake made in the speech of Mahinda Rajapaksa and had said Mahinda Rajapaksa is going to lower the public servants salary to Rs 25000/- from the present Rs 32000/-
