The Deputy Minister of Mass Media opts to resign

After the statement that was made by the President Maithripala Sirisena on his political stand several

strong members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party were shocked and were dumbfounded with regard to the position of their part. Many have already resigned from the government not prepared to contest under the symbol of the elephant of the United National Party.

In this regard the Member of the SLFP, Deputy Minister of Mass media Shantha Bandara is also seriously contemplating on his decision of leaving from his deputy ministerial position. About his decision he would be letting out by calling a press briefing very soon it is reliably learnt.
