Maithripala betrays the  62 lakhs + voters- Sarath Wijesuriya

The professor Sarath Wijesuriya of the Colombo University had added that the

president Maithripala Sirisena had by allowing the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa to give nominations to contest in the forthcoming general elections had made a terrific betrayal to 62 +lakhs of voters who voted him to become the president. By this act he had sent the voters 6 feet into the ground who had been baffled.

There had been a protest in front of the Fort railway station pleading not to give nominations to the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa. This had been organised by trade unions and civil organisations. Professor Sarath Wijesuriya aired his views at this protest.
