Hudson and Seele have joined to form a back up party for Mahinda

It is reported that a new political party has been registered for former president Mahinda Rajapaksa

to contest or to be a back up party for him in the next general election.

The party is named Lanka Freedom National Alliance. The leader of the party is professor Raja Dharmapala. The symbol of the new party is the bird ‘swallow’. The colour is brown colour. These details have been submitted to the elections commissioner.

The President of the party is Amarasinghe Kudagamara,the General Secretary is Gamini Rasaputra. Hudson Samarasinghe is the national organiser while Seelaratne Senerath is the Treasurer of the new party.

It is reported that activities of the new party Lanka Freedom National Alliance has already commenced party activities in 16 districts.This has been revealed by the General Secretary, Gamini Rasaputra in his letter addressed to the elections commissioner.
