Capital Punishment for drug traffickers after a public dialogue

the 1st instant at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall had said that he would initiate a public dialogue to determine whether capital punishment should be implemented for those convicted of peddling, selling and distributing drugs.
He had added further saying that even without food, clothing and cash on hand to smoke and to drink there is no shortage. He had found last week what punishments for those given for the offenders in foreign countries. President wanted to know also what the Buddhist clergy would think of the punishments to me made to them.
The President had said that he intends to bring a public dialogue in the near future to ascertain whether capital punishment should be implemented or not. Then there would be several protests. The human rights commission also would raise voices.
However in the near future with a referendum from the people a suitable decision would be taken he had said.
