Attorney General to consider the Kotakethana trial to be re heard

In the Kahawatta, Kotakethana double murder

case of the mother and daughter the three suspects were all freed after the judgement delivered by the Chief Magistrate.

The attorney general had sent a petition to the Supreme Court that the judgement given to the suspects by the Chief Magistrate cannot be considered as reasonable and to hear the case again to punish the suspects.

The attorney general had requested the Supreme Court to make the previous decision null and void and the case to be re heard once again.
