An A380 passenger aircraft one of the biggest in the world ....

Among various passenger aircrafts moving around the world an A 380 - 800 aircraft
considered to be the largest of its kind had made a sudden landing at Katunayaka International Airport this afternoon.

This aircraft which belongs to Emirates Airways which had been flying from Dubai to the city of Perth in Australia had been flying over the Indian Ocean when one of the passengers on board had suddenly suffered a heart attack and it was decided that the aircraft be landed at Katunayaka as one of the closest ports for this purpose. There had been about 300 passengers on board the flight and on that occasion the flight has changed its route for the sake of the helpless patient who was then admitted to a hospital in Negombo when the emergency service of Sri Lankan Airways took immediate action.

On a previous occasion an 380 aircraft had been landed at the Katunayaka Airport during night hours in the year 2012 while this is considered as the first occasion when an A380-800 aircraft was landed during daytime.
