Six persons including Wannilaeththo bare bodied to Thailand
The leader of the Wannilaeththo, Uruwarige Wanniaaththo in a group of six persons from the
Dabana Veddah community are to leave to Bangkok in Thailand to attend a environmental summit of the South Asian region organised by the United Nation Organisation.
The group of six persons are to leave Sri Lanka from the Bandaranaike International Airport by flight number ULK 882 to Bangkok. According to reports reached from the media the Dabana community are not willing to change their identity and they are adamant and wish to travel in the usual attire without shirts worn.That is they would remain to be bare bodied.
The motive of this environmental summit is to exchange views on the protection of natural forests and how the organisation of forest conservation assist and act are the basic topics that are to be shared at the proposed summit.
The ideas and views of one another are to be shared with the help of Interpreters at this summit.
