Ravi resolves the Golden Key depositors issue, promises to pay them in one month

The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake had called for a meeting with the affected Golden

Key depositors at the ministry premises this morning. The governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other officials had also participated.

He had made a request to all depositors to withdraw all court cases filed against the Golden Key Company. It is learnt that all deposit holders had unanimously agreed to his request.On that stand he had promised to pay all the deposit holders who maintain less those rupees 2 million would be paid within 01 month and those below rupees 10 million within 02 months and the rest within 01 year.

Accordingly after the cases are held on the 18th instant the first phase of payments would be made one month henceforth.
