S.Sudas had quipped that as a strong protest against those who stoned the Jaffna court complex, had caused damages to the property of the premises of the court. He had added that his had tarnished the image of the judiciary to a huge extent. As a protest all lawyers in the Jaffna district had refrained from performing duties on the 22nd instant.

In the meantime all suspects who were remanded following this unrest were produced to Jaffna courts. All were further remanded until the June 01st, 02nd and 03rd instant.
