To pay the salaries for April today, no issue for government

Although there were allegations aimed at the government by the opposition that without the issue of treasury bonds, the secretary of

the treasury with the finance ministry officials has released rupees 50  billion (rupees 500 million) to all ministries to meet the salary, pensions and all other payments for the new year. This was revealed by the secretary to the finance minister R.H.S Samaratunga.

As this process was made all salaries for government servants could be paid on the 10th instant was emphasised by secretary Samaratunga.
