The new opposition leader to be appointed after New Year, tension to last only one more week - Susil

Freedom Alliance Susil Premajayanth had made a confession that after discussing with the 14 parties of the alliance decision would be made as to who would be the leader of the opposition. He had made this confession on the 09th instant as instructed by the Speaker of the parliament.
A request has been made by through the signatures of 60 UPFA Members of parliament to appoint the leader of the MEP Dinesh Gunawardena as the leader of the opposition. However there is a barrier to make him the opposition leader as the parliament is to be dissolved at the end of April hence even if he is appointed he would have to occupy this position only for just 07 days or a lesser number of days, the general secretary of the UPFA had quipped.
