Thousands of workers deprived of the New Year celebrations - Mahinda

The former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has

sent a common letter to be published in all media to the effect that since all development activities were brought to a standstill thousands of workers would be deprived to celebrate this years’ Sinhala New Year. This notice had been issued to media on the 5th instant.

In the same notice he had reiterated that the government should independently work as a cohesive unit instead of finding faults with those in the previous regime.
