Mahinda seeks assistance of Astrology again!

Thinking that future will be bad .... 

swimming pool at Peacock Mansion filled up!

Though the extensive mansion known as Peacock situated near Diyawanna Oya belonging to businessman A.S.P. Liyanage was bestowed to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to be used as the residence, he has still not gone into occupation there.

Though the latter had expressed recently that he has given up his belief in Astrology which shortened the duration of his rule, this former President has taken action to subject this house which has been given to him to carry out his political activities to the strict scrutiny of Architectural Astrologers. A number of Astrologers were got down and an inspection had been carried out from time to time and what most of them said was that the swimming pool facing the house is an ominous sign. They had said  that if that situation is changed, it would turn out to be favourable. A special Astrologer from India who came to Sri Lanka had pointed out this same fact seriously and it is learned that the ex-President had come to a conclusion that it would be more suitable to go into residency after making the necessary change. Accordingly, it is understood that the swimming pool of Peacock Mansion, the latter which was designed by Geoffrey Bawa is being filled up. As there are separate buildings at the Peacock Mansion which provide ample space for the householders, visitors and employees to occupy, the ex-President has shown a liking to reside there.

Prior to this, this mansion had been rented out to foreign families on lease at a monthly rent of Rs. 4 lakhs and it was at the request of the ex-President that Mr. A.S.P.Liyanage has handed over this house gratis.
