Harin to contest for head chair at Athletics Association

The Chief Minister of the Uva province, former Member of Parliament Harin Fernando has

submitted his nomination papers to contest for the post of President of the Athletics’ Association of Sri Lanka. The scheduled time to close nominations for the proposed election was 12.00 pm on the 15th instant. At 11.55 am, Harin Fernando had submitted his nomination papers to contest for the head chair of the Athletics’ Association of Sri Lanka.

He had quipped that this decision was made at the request made to him in this regard by several young athletes who need to develop their skills.
