Half of the students who sat for GCE (Ordinary Level) have failed in Maths and English

Pushpakumara has revealed that in the GCE (ordinary level) 2014 examination half of the students who sat for the examination have failed in the Mathematics and English subjects. He had revealed that among those who sat for the GCE last year nearly 50 percent students had failed in the Mathematics and English subjects.
In Mathematics 111198 students have failed while 140943 students have failed in the English subject.This has been proved as a 50% of the total number of students who sat the examination.
However 5271 students had secured 9 ‘A’ s while 8147 students had failed in all subjects.
