Court action to be filed  against the Members’ of the National Executive Council for allowing the national anthem to be sung in Tamil.

Ven Akmeemana Dayaratne thera had quipped that his organisation intends to file legal action against the members of the national executive committee for allowing the Sri Lanka’s national anthem to be sung in the Tamil language.

Accordingly the organisation has sought the services of attorney at law and President’s council Manohara Silva and his team of attorneys at law to file legal action against the members of the national executive committee of the parliament in the coming week.. According to the Sinhala Ravaya organisation there is no such provision in the constitution of the parliament to sing the national anthem in any other language. They had also reiterated that the national flag and the national Independence Day also cannot be changed also according to the constitution of the government.
