Last night, on 26th when a point relating to the accusation of his wife over false documents was brought up at the Balaya Programme broadcast over Hiru TV Channel, parliament member Wimal Weeravansha on whom the topic was focused, got into
a temper and began reprimanding the speakers present as well as the government, in a frenzy.

The duo Wimal and Gammanpilla were on one side while Harin and Ajith were the other party who were invited to the discussion; but nobody had upto then spoken about Wimal's wife's issue in the programme when towards the end of the discussion at a certain instance when Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera who wanted to reply Wimal on a certain matter had reminded the fact that if a day, a letter or a date of birth is changed, one could end up in jail under the 'yahapalana' rule at which moment Wimal immediately took it up as a ridicule about his wife and under such an understanding had gone into a frenzy in response to the statement.

"Put in jail mahatthayo .... if that is what you'll want to be happy about .... we are ready. We won't fall down at your feet for the fear that we are creating trouble to the family. We have a responsibility towards this country. We won't dismiss that responsibility even if we are put inside hundred jails .... we won't stop our march .... there are more leaders who have gone to jail than that".
