How Wele Suda was brought to courts.

The kingpin of drug-dealers, Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda was produced before courts today for the first time

under strict guard.  Prior to this, as a result of a security problem he did not present himself for the previous court hearing. During the time when a case concerning him was being heard prior to this, he had absconded by fleeing the country. He was however ultimately apprehended with the support of the International Police while he was in Pakistan and he has been considered a notorious case as the biggest distributor of drugs in Sri Lanka at present.

Wele Suda who has earned a sum of 17 crores within a period of just 6 months, after being produced at Colombo Magistrates Court today and having been interrogated by the Lady Magistrate the case was postponed. The courts postponed the next hearing until March 23rd and permission was granted to the CID to keep him under detention for purposes of further questioning.
