is to be established tomorrow 22nd Sunday

Informed sources report that the National

Government proposal has been hurried up by now which topic incidentally has become a demur these days in political circles. As such, after an emergency discussion that took place between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasingha yesterday 20th Friday, news has circulated from unofficial sources that it has been decided to establish a National Government with the participation of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. It was further said that it is expected that the SLFP is to be given 15 Ministerial posts in the Cabinet and 15 Deputy Minister positions. It is also learned that the Ministers and the Deputy Ministers would be taking their oaths in the presence of the President on Sunday and that 10 State Ministers are expected to be appointed in future.

Information further says that the first Cabinet meeting of the National Government is to be held on March 23rd Monday with the combination of both the UNP and the SLFP. If this takes effect, Ministers of the Cabinet will go up from 27 to 42.
