Rajiva Wijesinghe takes seat with opposition

After the new government was formed the

defected Rajiva Wijesinghe who had held a portfolio of a ministerial post in the previous government was offered a suitable porfolio as the state minister of higher education.However over a conflict he had resigned from his ministerial portfolio and had sat on a seat of the opposition yesterday at the parliamentarian sittings.
