In the event the Colombo Port City Project is stalled, economic development of Sri Lanka would go back by 200 years - Mahinda

The former President Mahinda  Rajapaksa had visited the Raja Maha Viharaya, Mahiyanganaya. After worshipping he had participated in a media

discussion where he had aired his views on the new harbour city or the Colombo port city project and had quipped that it should not be stopped .He also added that although the government had changed all projects that had started need to be continued.

He also had emphasised that according to his personal opinion if the huge project of Colombo Port City project which is partly completed is stopped the economic development of the country would go backwards by 200 years.
