The members of national executive council had met yesterday the 11th instant. Among many matters discussed between the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe and leaders of the

opposition parties an important issue that was discussed was the floating armoury under the administration of the Avant Garde , the arms security company. It was decided that in this connection the former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is to be arrested no sooner the President Maithripala Sirisena arrives from his tour of the UK.This was decided unanimously by all who were present at the meeting.

It was decided unanimously to arrest him and then make complete investigations in to the activities of the floating armoury of Avant Garde security company.
