Former Minister of Sports and Member of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage pointed a pistol towards me at Gampola court’s premises
The UNP organiser of Nawalapitiya Ananda Aluthgamage had filed a case against the former
Minister of Sports and Member of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage at Gampola police that the former Minister of sports and Member of Parliament had pointed a pistol at him and wanted the case against him filed for abducting the UPFA member D.W Manatunga of the ‘Ganga Ihala’, pradeshiya sabha be withdrawn.
This case was taken up on the 13th instant at the Gampola magistrate courts. The member of the ‘Ganga Ihala’ PS, D.W Manatunga in this connection had lodged an entry in the Kurunduwatte police station to the affect that he was not kidnapped and the complaint made by the UNP organiser of Nawalapitiya at the Gampola police station is totally incorrect. The former Minister also had denied the charge that he pointed a pistol at the UNP organiser inside the court premises. He also denied that he never abducted the PS member but it is true that they had been a conflict between them but it was amicably settled.
But in contrast the UNP organiser of Nawalapitiya, Ananda Aluthgamage is challenging the information stated by the Member of the ‘Ganga Ihala’ PS, which is in accordance with the complaint made by him to police.
