Court orders bank accounts of Gotabhaya to be perused

When the case against the floating armoury company ‘Avant Guarde’ was taken up for

hearing following many investigations made in this regard by the criminal investigation department, the Magistrate of the Magistrate’s courts Galle had instructed the CID to peruse all bank accounts of the former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and those of the director board of the floating arms company ‘Avant Guarde’ and that of the floating company.

On an earlier occasion when the case was heard the Magistrate of the Magistrate’s courts Galle had ordered to temporarily suspend the passports of these persons until the case is completed. In this regard a former commander of the Navy Somatillake Dissanayake is also prohibited from leaving the country.
