Sri Lankan woman's body found lying in a creek in Sydney
Mysterious dead body of Lankan girl .... on an Australian apartment ... found from lagoon
The Sri Lankan lady Amisha Raapaksha (31) who was living in a luxurious housing complex in the town of Sydney in Australia had mysteriously died last Tuesday. Her body was found in a lagoon close to her residence.
She had left the house around 7.30 in the evening saying that she was going to the grocery to buy milk and butter; but as she had not returned home her father and elder brother who were living with her have searched for her. Later on an investigation conducted in the company of the police her dead body was found stuck in a large lagoon close to the house.
The victim who had been wearing a scarf when she left the house was found with the scarf wrapping round her neck at the time the corpse was located.
Amisha Rajapaksha was a spinster aged 31 years of age and had migrated to Australia in 2009 and was a graduate of International Technology.
She and her brother had been employed together with their father living in a luxury apartment known as Waterfront Apartment in the town of Sydney. This housing complex had been afforded strong protection and it was not possible to access the lagoon where the body was found, with any ease for that matter and there had been a large wall erected preventing access to that location. How the victim managed to travel towards that spot is now a question with which the police are faced with.
It was also said that it is not possible for anyone to enter the place concerned without the notice of the CCTV system with 74 equipment fixed in the zone. The police who made investigations were able to detect across the CCTV footage of the housing complex that deceased Amisha was seen to have been walking hither and thither in the housing complex for a number of hours in the night, expecting somebody. However, no information had been found towards the last recordings of her appearance there that she had confronted anybody.
What the staff of the housing complex said was that though she should possess an access card to move about to certain places in the housing complex, it could be assumed that she had been roaming about on the last day because of any obstruction .... because in case she needed such a card, opportunity was also available for her to secure a temporary card. Whatever it is, they had also observed that 2 weeks previously she had obtained membership for the swimming pool and the gym as well.
The housing complex officials revealed that 1000 Australian dollars were paid for the house comprising of the 2 bedrooms, for a week where the three of them had resided.
A special unit of the Australian Police investigated into the death of Amisha and further inquiries are being carried on in relation to the CCTV footage.
