Three students supposed missing in Rajanganaya .... back home after loitering
These days many parents are of an indefinite fear of their children suddenly disappearing. The disappearance of Dinindu and Keshani have contributed greatly to this fear.
In the process, parents who have got scared about the 3 schoolboys not returning home after school to their homes have notified the police as well as the media.
However, it was informed that these 3 children had returned to their homes today (11) and that they had gone loafing. They had in fact gone in search of jobs to the city of Colombo instead of going to school.
These three students who had their education at Rajanganaya Yaaya School after telling that they were going to school had now come back home after 2 days.They had confessed that they had set out to Colombo on their push cycles without notifying home and had earned a sum of Rs.500 by loading rice to a lorry in Chilaw.
But as 2 days passed, the youngest member of the clique had been making a fuss saying that he wanted to go back home. The elder students admitted to police that as he had began to cry, they had turned back and come home and that they had not known that news about their disappearance had circulated around the country.
Parents of the 3 minors had complained to Rajanganaya Police that these children who set out early morning to go to school are missing from early morning of day-before-yesterday (09).
The 3 students who had left home in this manner are Supun Jayamal (14) studying in grade 9, Nilanga Prabod (14) studying in grade 6 and Gihan Amalsu Maduranga (12), all of whom were studying in Thambuttegama, Rajanganaya 10.
The three of them had as usual got dressed in school uniforms and gone for a loaf on push bicycles by saying that the were going to school on Tuesday (09) morning.
Students Nilanga and Gihan were brothers of the same family and all 3 of them were residents of Pahala Maragahawewa.
It was understood that the father of one of the two students of the same family was an employee of the Army while the other boy's father was engaged in farming activities. All of them had been living amidst financial difficulties and it came to be known that the boys had thought of making this journey to Colombo, following on the footsteps of certain other elder brothers in the area.
