Wimal vs Hakeem debate in parliament

Government is not 'gon' to launch an assault through Bodu Bala Senawa- Minister Wimal
We are not babies - Hakeem

A debate ensued yesterday in parliament in connection with the clash that took place a few days back in Aluthgama and Beruwala. At this point Minister Wimal expressed his ideas as follows: "That incident which happened in Beruwala .... it attacked the government. This is an operation which is tied up with the theory called Regime Change. Does the government want to attack the
Muslim community through Bodu Bala Senawa and lose even the votes that are there? If it is so .... how 'gon' this government! Not so 'gon'.... isn't it? By this, Mr. Hakeem is not going to lose. He could use this opportunity and address the Muslims and become strengthened in a political way. What is being done here is to pull the Muslim leaders out".

This is how Minister replied to it: "Ane .... to go fishing like that .... we are not babies. We know. We also have a responsibility. He says that to take this as an investment and an opportunity has come to take political gains. His idea maybe like that .... he always says things like that. Even while listening to such things I clearly question .... we want specifically a confirmation of the safety of our community. Aluthgama has been set on fire wholesale. Who is going to hold themselves responsible? We want to know the standpoint of the government about settling the loss following for this destruction. Not only that .... the specific methodology that will be adopted in relation to arresting the person responsible for this incident".
