Gossip Lanka recently reported that the wedding of tele-actress Gayesha Perera and her longtime lover Hasanjith is to take place shortly. To find out about their wedding preparations  we called Gayesha.

*Hello .... this is from Gossip Lanka. Now when is the wedding?
  Our wedding will be on 5th June. It'll be held in a simple manner. at some place in Colombo. The homecoming will be on the 12th.

*Though marrying late, isn't the attachment between the two of you a long one? Why did that happen?
  Yes .... it's 4 years. We waited a little till the right time dawned. I was involved in my Beauty Contest activities, work relating to the Arts and Political matters no. On the other hand .... both of us need some time to know each other well .... isn't it so? Even world famous actors-actresses marry after associating each other for 9 or 10 years, don't they?

*We also heard that you'll are having the wedding on a vegetarian style.
  Ane yes .... even from my small days I don't eat fish or beef. I thought that even on the day of my wedding to stay that way. Because of that I'll be inviting the closest relatives and have a small function at a temple. On the second day we'll invite the artistes and business people and have a small party.

*It was also published that the President and parliamentarian Namal also were invited.
  Yes .... yes .... we went to President House itself and gave the invitation. Don't know whether they'll come. If we're considered important.... they'll come no?

*So where are you'll going to stay after marriage?
  As a tradition, we'll be at my husband's home for a few days and then we'll take a place to call our own .... temporarily okay?

*Now you're not to be seen much in teledramas.
  During the past few days I was a bit busy .... because of Political work. There are about 6 teledramas to be shown. There are some invitations for several teledramas also. But I'll be taking part only in dramas that I'll be selecting.

*What do you mean dramas that you'll be selecting?
  Most of the time the difficulty is in choosing the dates. What every director asks is whether it is possible to allocate the dates. Then the script is given. If I am able to do a creative character like that .... I'll participate.

*Are you quitting acting after marriage?
  I haven't taken a decision like that. I love the Arts. I'll be with the field of Arts as long as I can. Both of us have decided what to do in the future.

*Are you going to contest in the future?
  There's no stop in my political work. The social duties that are expected of me .... I'll continue doing. At the same time I'll be studying Politics. I believe that there's a crowd with me. So I hope to do a social service to suffering women from the Political knowledge and experience that Ill be acquiring. In the same way I also will be moving forward in Politics.
