How baby elephant inside toilet pit in Puttalam ....  was rescued

A commotion took place when a baby elephant fell into a toilet pit in Puttalam area last night (5). This elephant had fallen into a toilet pit which stood near the hostel of employees working in a factory in Kalpitiya area. After the animal fell into the toilet pit, it is learned that a large
herd of elephants had come to the scene and had begun trumpeting last night till dawn, creating a commotion..

It was this morning that officers of the Wild Life Department launched an operation to rescue the wild elephant in the toilet pit. Officers of the Wild Life Department managed to rescue the wild elephant after a strenuous effort and thus free it to the fores.
