Kataragama Kiri Vehera on New Year's Day
Rajamaha Viharadhipathi Shasthrapathi Kobawaka Dhamminda Thero said that a liquid resembling milk was found dripping from the Kotha of the Kirivehera Chaitya in Kataragama yesterday (14).
It was learnt that upasika-upasikavan who were observing sil in front of the Kirivehera Chaitya Rajayananwahanse yesterday too had noticed
this phenomenon and considered it a miraculous occurence and had gone on their knees in worship chanting 'sadu'.
Kobawa Dhammananda thero has said that this incident had taken place at 11.05 a.m. when the auspicious time dawned for commencing activities, transacting business and partaking of food.
